Mud Duck Mudder

WOW! Is all I can say about the Mud Duck Mudder! What an incredible event.  The motto of this race was Bring It. Duck It. Run It. and every athlete, volunteer and coordinator did just that! We had 261 total runners, including the Fun Run and Teams.  We had an army of volunteers that worked tirelessly to ensure the runners were safe and having fun! We were all working together for an amazing organization Cornerstone Ranch!

The Mud Duck Mudder had 3 different events.  The 1st event the Muddy Ducky Fun Run kicked off at 8:00 a.m. and was a big hit with the kids! They had a blast getting dirty and not getting in trouble!

The 2nd event the Mud Duck Mudder Team competition kicked off at 8:30 a.m. The 2 person team was given the task to complete the entire race with a sandbag! The male teams carried 20# sandbags and the female teams carried 14# sandbags. The team had to run the entire race with the sandbag and cross the finish line together with the sandbag. I was impressed watching these teams compete.  They pushed each other and encouraged each through the entire race.  They NEVER gave up. They pushed their bodies to the limit and conquered a great race together!

This was the 1st year of the Mud Duck Mudder and I cannot wait to see how it evolves over the years to come! Our course designers have some pretty thrilling ideas and it’s going to be a blast seeing what they create over the next year! A special thank you to Josh Nation and Red Alexander for the amazing and challenging course. Thank you to everyone who raced and volunteered! We could not have pulled off this event without each and everyone of you!
