I’m currently in my 14th year as a fleet logistics supervisor with a rental car company.What made you start CrossFit Gardendale?
I found a Groupon for another location a few years ago and decided to give it a try. I was looking for something different from your typical, run of the mill average gym but I also needed some guidance on what to do in a workout. After a few months I decided to try CFG, it was so much closer to my house and I also wanted to try to get my husband to come with me.Describe your first workout?
My most memorable workout was MURPH. I had only been a member a few months and got this crazy idea to jump in head first and try this HERO WOD. After what seemed like 6 hours of nonstop working out, I didn’t die. I felt like I had conquered the world. The next day was a different story when I couldn’t even get out of bed but it was so worth it.What goals have you accomplished so far?
I FINALLY got my 145# PC, 255# dead lift and box jumps. (I’m so terrified of them)What goals do you plan to accomplish?
Double Unders!!! I’m also shooting for 95# snatch. I’m terrified of dropping under it so I have to work on that.What advice would you give to any new members?
Give it 2 months. You’re really not going to die. It may seem like it but that feeling will pass then you will get that feeling of accomplishment. It really is worth it. You’re worth it. Just DON’T QUIT!!!
