I spent 6 years in the Marine Corps in artillery, 15 years in construction & currently in my 6th year as a commercial and industrial sales person.What made you start CrossFit Gardendale?
My health. I was out of shape and needed something to do since I spend all day every day in my car that serves as my office.Describe your first workout?
My wife did CrossFit prior and she use to tell me about it. I always told her there was no way you are getting a workout doing what you do. I was a doubter. I ate my words on that because my first workout was HARD and I thought "is this ever going to end"? After I realized I wasn't going to die I was hooked.What goals have you accomplished so far?
Got my double unders, my 375# deadlift and a bar muscle up.What goals do you plan to accomplish?
Finishing a WOD with double unders and not get time capped, 225# power clean & a ring muscle up.What advice would you give to any new members?
DON'T GIVE UP! It's tough and can be very frustrating but it's also worth it. Just come in and give it your all every day no matter how big or small your "all" may be, just give it and stick with it. It's worth it.
