
What is the CrossFit Open?
The CrossFit Open is a worldwide competition in which EVERYONE is invited to compete. You will compete in 5 workouts over the course of 5 weeks. Each week, a different workout will be released on Thursday evening and you have until Monday evening to complete it. The Open is the first step in qualifying for the CrossFit Games. The top athletes from the Open in each of the 17 regions around the world will qualify for the second stage of the competition—Regionals, a three-day, live competition. The season culminates in the 2015 Reebok CrossFit Games. At the Games, thousands of participants will be whittled down to around 100 of the fittest men and women in the world.
We STRONGLY encourage each and every one of you to register and compete. You DO NOT have to be an elite athlete to compete, these workouts are just like any other workout you perform at CFG- scale as needed! In fact, the Open realized the necessity of scaling and new to the 2015 Open a scaled version of the workout will be released every Thursday evening! All of CFG’s programming leading up until now has been preparing you for the Open. Some of you may be on the fence on whether or not to do it and our advice is to register and enjoy the ride! You will surprise yourself at what you are capable of achieving. Plus how cool is it that your favorite CrossFit athlete will be doing the same workout as you on the same weekend!

When does the CrossFit Open start?
The CrossFit Open registration starts next Thursday, January 15th!
The first Open workout will be released on Thursday, February 26th!
The Open schedule is as follows:
15.1: Feb. 26 -March 2
15.2: March 5-9
15.3: March 12-16
15.4: March 19-23
15.5: March 26-30
I will be signing up next Thursday along with many of our CFG coaches! So come and join us CFG athletes and let’s see what we can accomplish together during the 5 week Open series! We can do this!
